Mario Patitucci, OALA, CSLA

Founder + Principal Landscape Architect

Mario is a landscape Architect with over 18 years of experience in Canada. He is a registered landscape architect in the Province of Ontario, and a full member of the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects (CSLA). He has extensive experience in the design of public and private spaces including numerous parks and communities across Southern Ontario.

Mario is the founder of adesso design inc. His vision was to create a landscape architectural firm with a collaborative approach to design and a focus on sustainable development. As a principal of the firm he is responsible for the comprehensive management of various projects throughout Southern Ontario. Over the past ten years Mario has been the lead on several City of Hamilton park projects including Binbrook Park and Stinson School Park which both received Urban Design Awards of Excellence in 2015. His institutional work includes the sculpture garden at the centre of Brock University's campus and two projects on the McMaster University campus. Mario was part of the design team for the CYO's Camp Marydale, a fully accessible children's camp next to Binbrook Conservation Area. Mario was instrumental in the design and of the natural amphitheatre space which accommodates four hundred plus children at the centre of the camp.

Mario is a graduate of the landscape architecture program at the University of Toronto. After working with several established landscape architectural firms, Mario relocated to Hamilton in 2003 where he established his design firm in 2008. Mario is involved in a number of important developments in the downtown core and is passionate about the revitalization of Hamilton. In 2014, Mario was appointed to the City of Hamilton Design Review Panel which provides valuable input to the City's planning staff on proposals within the priority areas of the City.
